Rental

All eligible renters must be at least 18 years of age and proof of a valid driver's license is required at pickup. Payment in full including a $50 deposit to cover minor damages or cleaning will be collected at the time the reservation is made.  Attached is a Rental Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement that will be emailed once a reservation is made and must be completed before departing with the rental equipment. GoUtahAdventures reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason.


Pick Up

All of our rental equipment will be picked up and dropped off at a residential location in Layton by the customer who signed the rental agreement at 1251 W. Granite Drive, Layton, Utah 84041.  Please be respectful and drive slowly when picking up and dropping off because it is a residential area.  Pick up time is from 8:30 am – 10:30 am on the first day of your reservation.  GoUtahAdventures is closed on Sunday, so if your rental starts on that day, your rented equipment may be picked up the night before between 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm.

We do not offer pickup or delivery services. The customer is responsible for transportation of the rented equipment. Plenty of space should be given for each reserved item. No refunds or discounts will be given for items that are unable to be transported due to insufficient cargo space.  GoUtahAdventures offers tie down straps for a $2 fee per strap to our customers.

Each customer is responsible for inspecting the equipment carefully, notifying the staff member if anything is missing or damaged and a making note of it on the rental agreement.  Failure to do so may result in a fee and loss of deposit.

A staff member at GoUtahAdventures can assist in securing the rented equipment, but any damage done to company’s equipment during transportation may result in a replacement fee and loss of deposit.

 A staff member will instruct the customer for approximately 30 minutes on how to properly use the rented equipment.  Please allow time for this as you plan your departure for you upcoming adventure!


Drop Off /Late Fees

Rental equipment is due back the last day of your reservation date listed on the contract during drop off hours from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm.  Returns earlier than this time frame need to be coordinated and approved.  No refunds or discounts will be given for returning rented equipment early due to the lost opportunity to rent the equipment to other interested customers in advanced.

Returns that are more than one hour after the close of business hours, 8:30 pm, may be fined a late fee of $25 up to the cost of an additional daily rental for each item returned late. 

GoUtahAdventures is closed on Sundays.  Rental items due back on Saturday will be charged an additional daily rental fee per equipment if not returned by the close of business at 8:30 pm Saturday.  Reservations that end on a Sunday should be returned the next business day, Monday, in the morning between 7-9 am, otherwise a late fee of $25 will be assessed.

If rental equipment is returned and left unattended at GoUtahAdventures then the customer will not receive a refund of their deposit unless arrangements were made beforehand with a staff member.  And if the equipment is dropped off, left unattended and then stolen, the customer will be responsible for all replacement costs including shipping and taxes and will forfeit their deposit.

If the equipment is lost or stolen while on your trip, then the customer will be responsible for all replacement costs including shipping and taxes and will their forfeited deposit.

If the rental equipment does not come back the same way it left due to it being dirty, damaged or missing parts then the deposit will go towards cleaning the equipment and/or the customer will be responsible for the all replacement costs including shipping and taxes and will forfeited their deposit.

Rental fees do not go towards damaged or missing equipment. 


Cancellations

 

We understand life happens and reservations may need to be cancelled.  Refunds will be based upon the outline below and not based on changes in weather, illnesses, transportation issues, early returns or an ineligible individual trying to pick up the rented equipment.

If a cancellation is made:

·       7 days prior to the pick up date outlined on the reservation agreement the customer will receive a 90% refund of their total payment and a full refund on their deposit.

·       6 days to 1 day before prior to the pick up date outlined on the reservation agreement the customer will receive a 50% refund of their total payment and a full refund on their deposit.

·       24 hours or less from the pick up date outlined on the reservation agreement the customer will not receive any refund except for their deposit.
